I waited a year to ensure my anger was gone. A year ago an error was made on my order. I called Pier 1. The employee made a mistake and instead of apologizing, claimed I yelled at her. The next week the manager said I came in and was yelling in store. A) The manager wasn't there, B) I came in with 2 other friends--who wanted me to sue the place for accusing me of something they were both witness of never happening. I called to get videotape evidence, but was never received, and I decided not to pursue legal action. Instead we--along with several other businesses have quit shopping there. I am forgiving, but I won't shop there anymore. The customer service is horrible. You accuse customers in order to cover up discrepancies. Not good business practice.

Unfortunately everything I ever want to buy has to be ordered because it's not in stock. And, because it's Maui certain items are not available to ship. There is great customer service, but I don't shop for furniture there anymore.... it has been over a year and I needed shelving. Today I walked in to Pier one crossing my fingers. And not to my surprise , the sales associate told me everything I wanted (shelving) needed to be ordered with a 2-3 week window for delivery. Sorry to say, will Have to shop elsewhere.
